Aww, Fleshbot, Poor Baby
Clive Thompson's article in New York magazine immerses itself in the huge rift between A-list blogs and the rest of the huddled masses of unwashed, stubbly bloggers (women can have stubble too, on their legs).
As an A-list blogger myself, I choked on my tears reading about blogs that did not have a high Technorati rank.
Blogs like Fleshbot, which discuss sex.
The sex blog has 300,000 page views per day but relatively few inbound links. Not many readers are willing to proclaim their porn habits with links, understandably.
Is vanity preventing bloggers from linking to Fleshbot? I will put my pride to the side and shoulder the burden of making Fleshbot a Technorati star.
I know what you're thinking: What? You -- Mr. "The Web Has Ruined Porn" -- are going to link to a porn blog?
Yes. I did not take Fleshbot into account in the said treatise.
In this post, G. Ponante reviews a porn DVD. Smart move. Full length porn films are sexy and unpretentious.
This post introduces the reader to MySpace for adults. Good -- maybe here I am guaranteed to have friends who don't like Fall Out Boy.
Here is a moving post about soldiers seizing the day when any day can be their last.
Consider this post a supplement to my paean to '80's porn. Retro and Vintage has pics from the '80's. All those Aquanet adult stars of yesteryear in one refreshingly pop-up free site.
Please link to Fleshbot so it replaces Boing Boing at the top of Technorati's list.
Imagine the Blogebrity headline: Boing Boing Knocked Down By Bang Bang.
