Funny Business Part I
Las night was my first bringer show ever at Stand Up New York. I did so well, I was a little disappointed that I wasn't "too hip for the room." But it was fun. I also did very well at Reverend Jen's Anti-Slam at Cake Shop.So here I am at my day "job," working for "X" paper as a freelance writer. I'm just here for my check. Before I walked into the building, I realized, I had ABSOLUTELY nothing funny to say to these people.
Wait? I killed at a NY comedy club? If I can make it there (NYC) I can make it in Long Island right?
So what funny things should I try on coworkers?
Before I venture into the TRUE ghetto of comedy (office comedy) I will write a ponderous, but short, thought piece on blogging.
By day I'm a freelance reporter.
By night I am a comic.
Blogging has no prejudice against comic reporters. Hell, it's hack at this point.
Speaking of hack, time to try and make some coworkers laugh.
