Love Is ....
Here's a great College Humor post of quotes from great comics like Paul Scheer, Craig Baldo (who I talked to briefly last night at Tell Your Friends and is very funny) and Mike Birbiglia.
But wait, I'm dodging my own premise. What is love to me? Love is sacrificing what you want to do for the one you love. I wanted to go to the WYSIWYG Worst. Sex. Ever. 3 Show so I could hear Todd Levin and TAN speak. My friends wanted to eat Korean food and rent Lord of War or Flightplan. I saw the former and fear the latter.
But they reluctantly said they would go.
Then I told them WYSIWYG is sold out and I want to go to Giant Tuesday.
They said no.
I whined, hemmed, hawed, harrumphed, cawed, and brayed until I got my way (I think the braying convinced them).
So my friends know the true meaning of love, which is sacrificing what you want to do for a friend.
This is why I have great friends, albeit no girlfriend.
